Mobile Medic was originally built using government funds but has since been released to the community and become a GPL project.
It is completely free and allows every aspect of an ambulance call to be captured on a pda, to include patient care, procedures, medication administration, insurance and signatures.
The company states the target audience is smaller services that can not afford high cost software packages and that there is no catch and no fees.
