 Car Wash Crush

A young woman is in critical condition after she was crushed by her own vehicle in a freak accident at an Edmonton, Canada car wash on 12/27/07.

Paramedics were called to the car wash and found the young woman suffering from serious chest injuries, EMS superintendent Kevin O'Keefe said yesterday.

The woman somehow became trapped between her open car door and a column inside the car wash. A police spokeswoman said the woman might have been trying to reach a card scanner that would allow her to leave the manual wand-style car wash.
