The new product will be launched at the 2007 EMS Expo in Orlando, FL, October 11-13 and the Anesthesiology Society of America Conference in San Francisco October "This lightweight, compact device was designed for emergency transportation vehicles, field use, rescue, or other applications where power is not available," says Jay Kotin, Merlyn president. "Heat is generated in about 2 minutes by simply activating a reusable, nontoxic heating pack, which lasts about one hour," Kotin explains. For more time, Kotin points out that the user can just insert another heating pack and snap it into action. FlexWarmer is designed and produced in Japan by Elltec Co., Ltd., the country's leading manufacturer of infusion/blood warmers.
