I won't go into the details of the call, but the first five minutes of it were horrible and oddly hilarious: The call was for an electrocution, and consequently the power in the neighborhood had to be shut off.
As soon as the power went off, we're thinking we better get those garage doors open somehow (normally, they work via an electrical system that pulls them open) before we get a call... Boom, the tones go off.
For the next five minutes, swearing under our breath, we tried to pry open the doors. We huffed and we puffed and we huffed and we puffed... and finally the power kicked on, and we hauled a$$ to the scene.
These first five minutes certainly registered in my mind as a fuster cluck.
PS: Now we know how to open the doors in case of a power failure.
