Aspiring (light-hearted) EMTs/civil servants, your game concept has arrived: Emergency Mayhem, a Wii-exclusive police/firefighter/paramedic driving game/mini-game collection, is headed our way in Q2 2008 from Codemasters.

Emergency Mayhem thrusts gamers into Crisis City, an aptly-titled epicenter of chaos in which players must take on more than 30 missions as a police officer, firefighter, or paramedic. After racing to the scene of an accident in the appropriate vehicle, players will be tasked with solving a unique mini-game tied to the humorous situation. Codemasters promises the launching of escaped prisoners via trampoline and banana tossing at curious apes amongst the mini-games, with the Wii Remote used as a wrench, fire hose, and the aforementioned banana hurler (among other things).

Though currently a Wii exclusive, Emergency Mayhem began life as a PlayStation 2/Xbox title announced by Acclaim Entertainment in 2004. When the company folded later that year, so did the project, but Emergency Mayhem will finally see release from Codemasters in the second quarter of next year.
