The Sedgwick County Emergency Medical Service helped a woman give birth to twins Sunday afternoon in a west Wichita living room.

It was a normal delivery that went smoothly, Sedgwick County EMS Capt. Scott Hadley said. The mother and twins -- a boy and a girl -- were taken to Wesley Medical Center and are doing well. Their names were not released.

"Mom was very calm," Hadley said. She had given birth before. "I think she's very pleased and happy."
